WHAT HAPPENS FIRST

The outfit is rudimentary, but it serves its purpose. He uses the suit to beat the Ten Rings in combat, but Yinsen’s terrible death aids his escape. He charges up the suit right before the Rings return.

THE ROAD TO HEROISM

After surviving his trauma, Stark returns home to find that his company’s weapons have been stolen. He declares Stark Industries will stop making weapons to focus on perfecting his Iron Man technology. After several revisions, Stark realizes the suit is too valuable to keep for himself; he should put it to good use, helping others.

THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN

In his reimagined Iron Man costume, the red and gold armor is laden with cutting-edge technology that grants superhuman strength, protection, the ability to fly at incredible speeds, and the ability to repel energy blasts. Then, Stark takes on the “Iron Man” persona and uses his superpowers for good, protecting the innocent as a superhero and warding off evildoers in a world where danger is always lurking.
